Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Salinas, California. In this role, you will manage invoicing, collections, and customer accounts while ensuring precise financial operations within the agricultural sector. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work with industry-leading clients in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Responsibilities: • Generate and process invoices accurately for agricultural products and services. • Track and manage customer accounts to identify overdue payments and ensure timely collections. • Maintain detailed and organized records of all receivables, payments, and collection activities. • Communicate effectively with growers, distributors, and logistics partners regarding payment terms and invoice statuses. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing or payments promptly. • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures. • Prepare and present accounts receivable aging reports to management regularly. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and client contractual agreements. • Collaborate with teams across accounting, sales, and operations to address billing concerns and improve cash flow. • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting roles; experience in the agricultural industry is advantageous. • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms, along with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with Spanish language skills considered a plus. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. • Familiarity with agricultural business practices and terminology is beneficial. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
