Job Description:

Epic Care is seeking an experience Medical Assistant II to support the Infusion department in our Castro Valley clinic. The Infusion MA is responsible for performing administrative and certain clinical duties as directed by the Site Manager, RNs and Clinicians. Duties:

• Perform all administrative tasks
• Perform all direct patient care tasks
• Perform all patient appointment scheduling functions
• Perform Back office duties
• Document in EMR i.e. telephone and refill encounters, Transcribe referrals, work WQ's, Check-in/out patients
• Patient navigation
• Stock Infusion Department
• Perform vitals
• Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments: Scheduling Oncology treatments, MD/Nurse Practitioner appointments and follow up appointments. Schedule teach appointments to educate for infusion treatment.
• Clean and stock Infusion Department, order medical supplies and maintain treatment home systems
• Document in EMR, check-in/out patients, greet patients upon arrival
• Assist clinicians in clinic duties: Including lab services
• Assist in scheduling patient care outside facilities for medical procedures, hospice, blood transfusions
• Coordinate patient care including new patients
• Maintain and order Oxygen
• Interdepartmental coordination of care- RO- PET/CT-Breast HealthCertificates / Licenses / Registration Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certificate (AAMA / CMA) CA / National - STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • BLS/CPR - STRONGLY PREFERREDExperience Requirements
    • 2 - 3 years work experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office
    • EMR experience - Minimum 1 year Required 8am-5pm
