Information $3,079 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Clienttion Oncology
Duration: 32 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
required. License: Current RN State License required.
Certifications: BLS required; ONS/ONCC preferred. Must-Have: - Epic
charting system experience preferred. - Ability to access and
manage ports and start IVs. - Proficient in phlebotomy skills and
telephone triage. Description: In this role, the Registered Nurse
will work with providers to ensure patients complete all necessary
tasks before starting radiation therapy. The RN will help
coordinate appointments and necessary supplies. They will triage
side effects of treatment, such as low blood pressure, pain, and
nausea. The RN will start IVs and administer IV contrast as
necessary. Patient education on treatment and its duration is a key
responsibility. This position requires managing alterations in skin
and mucous membranes, and administering wound care. Experience with
various cancer diagnoses is essential. The RN will provide patient
and family education and support. They will adhere to radiation
safety precautions and manage care coordination. Important skills
include assessment of medication tolerance and managing
complications related to treatment. The role involves working
