Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM Must-Have: - 2 years of experience - Travel experience required - Charge experience preferred Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This position will require working nights on a schedule of three 12-hour shifts. You will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience with a patient ratio of 2:1. You should have proficiency in charting systems, specifically Epic. The nurse will participate in the management of high-risk deliveries. Assist with both vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed. Experience in postpartum care and newborn assessments is essential. You will provide discharge teaching to new parents and families. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is required to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Knowledge of infant and maternal care standards, including breastfeeding support, is necessary. You will be expected to demonstrate skill in various procedures and the administration of medications. This position will involve occasional on-call duties. Flexibility to provide weekend coverage is required.
