NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Experience in Labor and
Delivery - Travel experience required Description: The Registered
Nurse will be responsible for providing care in the Labor and
Delivery unit. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts on day
shifts. Every other weekend coverage is required. On-call duties
may be assigned as needed. Nurses must have a minimum of 2 years of
experience in Labor and Delivery. Travel experience is required.
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are
mandatory. Patient ratios during the day shift will be 2 patients
per nurse. Daily census includes an average of 4 patients. The unit
handles a wide range of patient diagnoses including NSTs,
hypertension in pregnancy, and scheduled inductions. Special
procedures in this unit include induction of labor and C-sections.
Candidates must be familiar with Epic charting system. Basic
nursing skills and knowledge of various medical procedures specific
to Labor and Delivery are essential. Responsibilities may include
administering medication, performing assessments, and providing
education to patients and families. Nurses will support the
birthing process and ensure the safety and well-being of both
mother and newborn. The role requires effective communication and
teamwork with interdisciplinary support services.
