Oakland Healthcare Job Details Location: Oakland, CA 94605 – California healthcare jobs Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Physician (Travel Contract) Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic Start Date: March 3, 2026 End Date: June 2, 2026 (13 weeks, possible extension) Schedule: 4 days/week, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts) Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Salary: $5,010–$5,370 Patient Volume: 20 adult patients/day (ages 18) Support Staff: 2 Registered Nurses (RNs), 1 Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), 1 Medical Assistant (MA) per provider EMR: Epic electronic medical records Call: No call required Primary Care Physician Qualifications Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active California medical license (California physician jobs) DEA license with Schedule II privileges BLS certification 2-3 years of recent outpatient primary care experience Minimum 1 year Epic EMR experience Experience with vulnerable populations or safety net communities preferred Spanish language skills highly preferred Ability to meet pre-employment health and credentialing requirements (immunizations, TB, drug screen, physical) Primary Care Physician Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive primary care to adult patients, including chronic disease management and urgent care Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members Document and coordinate care using Epic EMR Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, and MAs to ensure high-quality clinical support Provide culturally competent care to Oakland's diverse patient population Maintain compliance with outpatient clinic protocols and healthcare regulatory standards Apply now to join our Oakland healthcare team as a locum tenens primary care physician and advance your career in California outpatient medicine!
