Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Castro Valley, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,947 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: L&D RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Travel experience required Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system required Description: The RN will work in Labor and Delivery on a night shift schedule. The role includes a patient ratio of 2:1. The RN will be responsible for providing care to pregnant patients and managing labor and delivery processes. The position requires the ability to assist with both vaginal deliveries and C-sections. The RN will support breastfeeding and educate parents on care protocols. The role includes triage of obstetrical patients and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with monitoring and managing fetal heart patterns is essential. Skills required include administration of medications, IV management, and postpartum care. The nurse will also assist with high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal assessments. Additional duties include performing sterile vaginal exams and managing postpartum hemorrhage. Successful candidates will demonstrate effective communication and teamwork abilities. The RN must maintain compliance with infection control protocols and provide high-quality patient care. Please note that weekends and on-call shifts may be required.
