Join US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, as a CDL A Delivery Driver, where you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring timely, safe, and accurate delivery of products to our customers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high service levels and reliability that US Foods is known for. Our drivers are pivotal in maintaining the strong partnerships we have built with around 300,000 restaurants and foodservice operators across the nation. With a vast range of over 350,000 products including premium private labels, you will handle diverse deliveries that help our clients succeed. Safely drive trucks along designated routes to deliver food and foodservice products to customer locations Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, ensuring preventive measures are in place Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents, or violations Handle paperwork related to deliveries, ensuring accurate completion and submission Ability to operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck Strong time management and customer service skills Good physical condition and endurance Basic knowledge of truck maintenance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) Must pass DOT physical and drug test Clean driving record
