innovation at the forefront of everything we do. ABOUT THE JOB: The
Planning Engineer is responsible for reviewing customer-supplied
data and drawings, performing design rule checks, and the creation
of manufacturing data, programs, and tools required for the
manufacture of printed circuit boards. She/He is also responsible
for creating shop travelers using customer-provided documentation,
interpreting customer and industry specifications, and reviewing
customer-supplied data and past part history. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Function Name Import customer data into various CAM systems.
Perform design rule checks and Plan the job using this information.
Create array configurations, Create shop travelers, interpret
customer-supplied documentation, and interpret industry
specifications. Create multi-layer, impedance, blind/buried via
stack-ups. Work with process engineers to evaluate and provide a
strategy for advanced processing as needed. Itemize and correspond
to design issues with customers using our portal. Must be flexible
to maintain effective throughput within the department, some days
may be only planning functions while some days may be strictly cam
functions or any combination dependent on department backlog and
scheduling demands. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS -
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE: AA Degree preferred. 3-5 years
experience as a Planner / CAM Operator for reputed PCB
Manufacturing Company. Must have a clear understanding of processes
required to manufacture high-tech PCB’s. Prior experience with
valor software, InCAM, ProCIM, Instack a plus. Prior experience of
planning HDI, Flex, and Ridig Flex boards is a plus Ability to read
and understand technical drawings and work instructions. Proficient
computer skills: Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook and the ability to
learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software
(Valor & ProCim). Ability to make mathematical calculations and
utilize complex drawings. Must be flexible to work extended hours
based on the needs of the department and company. Ability to
perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment. Excellent
oral and written communication skills. Exceptional multi-tasking,
organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of
management Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all
times. Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and
Word required. SUPERVISES: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical
demands described here represent those that an employee must meet
to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk,
and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open
filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as
necessary. ENVIRONMENT : -The manufacturing facility is exposed to
electronics assembly equipment and materials. -May require working
in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity
requirements. -Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to
perform the work. California Salary Range $30 - $35 hourly and
