About daydreamdaydream builds growth marketing playbooks for the
world's fastest growing companies.Note: This role requires
candidates to be in-person, in-office 3 days per week in our Hayes
Valley, San Francisco office.We believe the future of growth
marketing is one where companies pay for outcomes, rather than
tools. Today, we leverage a combination of AI-enabled services +
software to execute SEO growth playbooks for companies like Clay,
Descript, and Beacons and dozens of others. In the future, we'll
expand our capabilities across the entire growth marketing stack,
encompassing all essential customer acquisition channels.We've
raised $6.2M from leading investors like First Round Capital, Basis
Set Ventures, WndrCo, SOMA Capital and current and former Heads of
Growth at companies like Notion, Airtable, Webflow and Dropbox as
well as notable angels like Lenny Rachitsky and Eli Schwartz,
Author of Product-Led SEO. The problem we're trying to solveEvery
company needs to do two things:
- Build a product.
- Acquire customers.There are three ways to acquire customers -
sales, product-led growth, and growth marketing. Of these three,
growth marketing is particularly hard to staff for because great
internal talent is find (ex. in SEO, there are probably Then
there's the agencies, but agencies are often slow, lack strong
technical talent, and in general are associated with poor quality
of outcomes. How we're solving this problemdaydream is different -
we've built a vertically integrated software + services stack with
a singular goal in mind - deliver outstanding outcomes for every
customer we service, repeatedly and consistently in a fraction of
the time they expect. While we've started with SEO, we expect to
expand to all other major growth marketing channels over the near
future. The people you'll be working with
- : Shravan was previously an Engineering Lead at Flixed. Before
that, Shravan worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook for three
years, where he worked on mass-scale web scraping for Facebooks'
Jobs product, and Meta Reality Labs.
- : Prior to joining Daydream, he worked as a Data Scientist at
Klaviyo, specializing in NLP. Before that, he was at Cornell
working on research projects with companies such as Home Depot and
CVS Health.
- : Prior to joining daydream, Tom led the design of innovative
products at Blockless, delivering refined user and developer
experience in decentralized computing. Occasionally, Tom also does
some UI engineering.
- : Previously a Tech Lead at Relativity, Pedro developed
distributed automated workflows using Azure, Logic Apps, Durable
Functions, and Event-Driven Architecture. In his spare time, he
dabbles in C++ and game development. Our stack

- LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini)--- What You'll Be Doing HereAs a
Data Scientist at Daydream, you'll play a pivotal role in
developing data-driven solutions that power our growth marketing
strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyze large, complex datasets to
extract insights, build predictive models, and guide
decision-making across product and growth initiatives.
- Experimentation: Design and run experiments to test hypotheses
related to content indexing, search ranking, and user
engagement-particularly in the context of local and semantic
search.
- Search Behavior Research: Lead original research on the
intersection of geographic signals and search engine behavior.
Explore link structures, NLU techniques, and entity resolution to
enhance discovery of place-based content.
- Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with engineers,
designers, and growth leads to embed data science capabilities into
product features and SEO strategies.
- Thought Leadership: Stay current on developments in search,
SEO, and GEO. Share learnings internally and, where appropriate,
externally through presentations, papers, or talks.You'll be an
excellent fit if you
- Have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, or
data analysis.
- Possess experience with programming languages such as Python or
R.
- Are proficient in data visualization tools and techniques.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment and are
adaptable to changing priorities.
- Have excellent communication skills and can convey complex data
insights to non-technical stakeholders. CompensationThe
compensation for this role is $180k - $220K base salary with
generous equity in daydream.For applicants outside of the San
Francisco Bay Area, we are offering paid relocation.
